Tourism & Hospitality

     Guidelines for training institutes seeking affiliation with                                     Tourism & Hospitality Skill

1. Physical Inspection:
Training institute applying for affiliation for skill center(s), random selection of the skill centers will be done by THSC for physical inspection per job role. If during the physical inspection, the inspected skill centers found to be complying with the THSC requirements, affiliation will be provided to all Skill centers. However, for remaining centers, which have not been physically inspected, the training institute will be required to furnish an undertaking in the format defined by THSC. THSC reserves the right to do physical inspection of these training centers as & when it warrants.

2. Faculty:
Each training institute has to employ at least two trainers /job role/skill center as per the qualification standards laid down by THSC .

3. Infrastructure facility:
Each training institute has to comply with infrastructure facility standards laid down by THSC.

4. Equipment:
Each training institute has to deploy the minimum essential requisite equipment at each skill center for each applied job role as per the list laid down by THSC .
THSC has the right to increase the minimum equipment list as the complexity of QP increases.


                      QUALIFICATION STANDARDS OF FACULTY

1.Food & Beverage Service Faculty
Certificate/Diploma/Degree holder with at least 5 years’ experience in F&B service including one year as supervisory capacity in a classified Hotel or Restaurant. Experience as Departmental Trainer/ On the Job Trainer would be essential.

2.Housekeeping Faculty
Certificate/Diploma/Degree holder with at least 4 years’ experience in Housekeeping including one year as supervisory capacity in a classified Hotel or Facility Management Company. Experience as Departmental Trainer/ On the Job Trainer would be essential.

3.Front Office Faculty
Certificate/Diploma/Degree holder with at least 4 years’ experience in Front Office including one year as supervisory capacity in a classified Hotel. Experience as Departmental Trainer/ On the Job Trainer would be essential.

4.Food Production/ Kitchen Faculty
Certificate/Diploma/Degree holder with at least 5 years’ experience in F&B service including one year as supervisory capacity in a classified Hotel or Restaurant or Flight Kitchen or Cruise Liners. Experience as Departmental Trainer/ On the Job Trainer would be essential.

5.Tourism
Certificate/Diploma/Graduate in Tourism with at least 4 years’ experience in Tourism/ Tour Operator including one year as supervisory capacity. Experience as Departmental Trainer/ On the Job Trainer would be essential.
